iSi North America Boosts Revenues and Customer Service With QlikTech

RALEIGH, NC - August 8, 2005 - QlikTech Inc., a leading provider of powerful and rapidly deployable business intelligence (BI), analysis and reporting applications, today announced that iSi North America has improved revenues and customer service using QlikView, QlikTech's innovative business analysis application.  QlikView enables iSi to quickly access and analyze sales data, helping the company identify and respond to business trends, and more efficiently manage inventory.  In addition, QlikView helped iSi streamline the implementation of a new MAS200 ERP system, making the migration invisible to end-users and reducing the costs of bringing the new system online.

iSi North America is responsible for North American sales and distribution for iSi Group, a multi-national provider of specialty pressure cylinders for industrial and consumer applications.  iSi's product lines span commercial and home kitchen equipment, automotive, and industrial markets.

Over the past decade, iSi North America has made significant investments in data-rich ERP systems.  However, iSi found it was unable to easily access and analyze customer and sales data from those systems.  QlikView has given the company new insight into its data, allowing the iSi management and sales teams to explore sales, distribution, margin, pricing and customer service information from every conceivable angle.  As a result, the company has been able to quickly identify and respond to industry trends, enabling it to enhance customer service and improve revenue.  Additionally, QlikTech has improved communication between iSi and its parent company by providing iSi Group instant access to its subsidiary's data in real time.

QlikView offers iSi several unique capabilities, including the patented AQL associative database that resides in a computer's memory, rather than a data warehouse or OLAP cube.  This means that all analysis is done in real time and removes the need to develop complex, expensive data structures.  The AQL feature has played an important role in helping iSi North America to restructure its IT infrastructure.  The company recently implemented a new MAS200 ERP application.  QlikView's AQL function gives iSi the ability to draw data out of its old ERP system and the new MAS200 system.  As a result, iSi can continue to use its older system as is, eliminating the need for a data dump and the costly maintenance or transfer fees normally associated with implementing a new ERP database.
